NNU MarCom

Lucas Van Hofwegen is the Website Technologies Manager at Northwest Nazarene University. He graduated from Lynden Christian High School in the spring of 2022, then went on to earn his degree from NNU in the spring of 2026. 

Before coming to NNU, Lucas worked seasonally as a raspberry farmer in the summers and spent his falls and winters building cabinets with his dad. During his time at NNU, he served as an RA in Culver Hall his sophomore year, then joined the Student Government Association his junior and senior years, first as Intramural Overlord, and later as Publicity Director. 

As Website Technologies Manager, Lucas oversees website technologies at NNU, combining SEO and GEO strategy with key performance indicator tracking to support the enrollment pipeline, alongside hands-on technical development and daily site maintenance. 

“SEO is basically a competition nobody else knows they’re in. And I really like winning.” 

In his spare time, Lucas loves being outdoors: skiing, fly fishing, building things for friends, playing music at church, and just spending time with the people around him. He’s passionate about building things and problem-solving, and loves helping others do the same. 

Though Lucas is originally from Lynden, Washington, he met his future wife during his time at NNU, at the very events he used to coordinate. He now calls Nampa Idaho home.
